David Driskell elected to the American Academy of Arts & Sciences

We are pleased to announce that IDSVA Visiting Faculty David Driskell (IDSVA Honorary Doctorate 2009) has been elected to the American Academy of Arts & Sciences.
Founded by George Washington, John Adams, Thomas Jefferson, Benjamin Franklin, and other notable early Americans, more recent members include Winston Churchill, Martin Luther King, Jr., Martha Graham, John F. Kennedy, and Georgia O'Keefe.
Election to the Academy stands as the highest academic honor awarded in the United States.
